For more than 100 years, Gard has been insuring the global maritime industries for their whole range of risks. Today, it is the largest P&I Club and the second largest marine insurer – employing over 450 people in 12 offices around the world.

Hvilke jobbmuligheter tilbyr dere (trainee/internship etc)?
Gard offer a 12-month trainee programme every second year, the next starting in August 2014. Our trainee programme is designed to offer graduates and young professionals the opportunity to gain an understanding of the marine insurance industry by carrying out placements in each of Gard’s departments. Trainees work mainly from our head office in Arendal, Norway. We offer trainees a comprehensive benefit package, including a competitive salary, pension, insurance, and housing during the training period.

Hvilke egenskaper ser dere etter hos jobbsøkerne?
Last year we recruited over 40 new employees, ranging from world experts in specialist sectors to recent graduates, to a variety of positions and from backgrounds as varied as law, business, industrial ecology, physiotherapy and finance.
Our three largest offices are in Norway, so this is where the majority of our recruitment take place, however we have also had openings in our international offices. We offer a competitive remuneration and benefits package in a world class maritime insurance environment, working on challenging tasks together with highly engaged and knowledgeable colleagues.
For our trainee program we are recruiting university graduates or young professionals with excellent academic records and up to two years’ work experience since graduating with a Masters. The next trainee program will open for applications fall/winter 2013/2014 at www.gard.no.
