Mahatma Gandhi Salt March for Non-Violence and Peace
Come and walk in support for non-violence and peace!
Time: 7.30 am
Venue: From Gandhi House in Phoenix to the Battery Beach, Durban
The fourth Annual Mahatma Gandhi Salt March will take place on Sunday 20th April, 2008. Participants are invited to take part in a 5 km, 10 km and 15 km walk. All participants will assemble at the start in the Phoenix Settlement in Inanda. The finishing point will be at the Army Support Base at Battery Beach in Durban.
Buses will be available to transport participants at no cost, from Battery Beach to the Phoenix Settlement. The first bus will leave at 5.30am ad the last bus at 6.30am. Parking for vehicles will be available.
Entry is free.
Medals and t-shirts will be awarded.
Refreshments will be provided for the walk.
Lunch will be served.
Live Jazz at Battery Beach from 10.30am.
