The Harold Wolpe Memorial Trust takes pleasure in announcing its 71st Open Dialogue. TONY EHRENREICH
Tony Ehrenreich was a motor mechanic in 1984. His union activities led him to become the local Organizer for his union from 1989. From 1994 for the next three years he was a national union negotiator when he also worked for short period in COSATU’s head offices. In 1997 he was elected as the Provincial Secretary of COSATU. His responsibilities include coordinating and managing organizational political and social policy in the Western Cape, as well as pursuing some national and international work for the federation.

Johan Fedderke, a graduate from Cambridge University is Professor of Economics at UCT and heads their School of Economics. He is also the Director of Economic Research Southern Africa. His research expertise lies in the theoretical and empirical analyses of economic growth.
