This free day is a great opportunity for you to meet other newcomers and discover Māori culture in a relaxed way.
· Take part in a traditional pōwhiri (welcome ceremony)
· Learn about the Treaty of Waitangi
· Watch a cultural performance
· Explore business opportunities with the Te Awe Māori Business Network
· Enjoy a delicious lunch (provided)
The day is open to everyone new to Wellington, so bring your family and friends.
Pipitea Marae is very close to the Wellington Railway Station and is easily reached by bus (see the attached flyer for more details and a map). Some car parking is available.
